Behind the scenes with Canon’s new 7D Mark II

I recently had the pleasure of producing as well as shooting behind the scenes stills on a film shoot for Canon Australia by Untitled Films. The film is all about the release of Canon’s new 7D Mark II and its amazing new features many of which are great for shooting sports. They asked legendary motorsports photographer and Canon Master Mark Horsburgh to test this awesome new camera. It was all filmed by Canon Master Abraham Joffe, who is an outstanding DSLR cinematographer. It was an honour to work with him and his team for their shoot in Queenstown. They flew in from Australia so needed me to produce the shoot, in both location scouting and talent. The video was released today and its already going pretty viral! Check it out:

It was a three day shoot, with the first day at Highlands Motorsport Park in Cromwell.

The last day filming was a mountain bike shoot overlooking the Queenstown basin, another sunrise and some awesome inversion fog left for some cool photos and footage for the boys.

It was so fun to work with a team, including Hyper-laps photographer Matthew Vandeputte. If you haven’t seen his work you should check out his breathtaking time lapses. I love showing people around the playground Im privileged to call my home and seeing how inspired they are by our mountains. Come back soon team!
